The story of an encounter that lives on

Palma de Mallorca, ES 1230 Punta Cana, DO 0630

Palo is a furniture atelier that unites the precision of Mallorcan tradition with the warmth of Caribbean soul. From its bases in the Dominican Republic and Mallorca, it creates unique pieces for high-end residential and hospitality projects, where wood, time, and craftsmanship dialogue with contemporary sensitivity. Each piece of furniture is a story of an encounter, between cultures, hands, and materials.

Manifesto

Palo’s story is not invented, it’s revealed. It’s already written in the wood, in the living grain, in the mark of the tool, in the patient gesture of the maker. It doesn’t follow a script; it arises from an encounter. Because that is what Palo is: a meeting point between worlds. Between sun and knowledge, between root and reason, between the precision of craft and the emotion of the hands that sustain it. From Mallorca, we inherit technique, measure, and discipline. From the Caribbean, warmth, rhythm, and life. In the crossing of these two places, we find a new way of making.

Every piece we create carries the echo of that dialogue. No two are alike, because no two encounters are ever the same. Each piece is the result of a conversation, between cultures, materials, and people. It is memory made form, time made matter. We believe in the value of detail, in the beauty that does not seek to draw attention but to endure. In respect for the wood, the environment, and the hands that transform matter. We believe that luxury is not in what shines, but in what lasts. What we create is more than furniture, it is the meeting place of sun and knowledge, matter and measure, root and reason. Each piece tells a story: the story of an encounter that remains alive, piece by piece, gesture by gesture. Because at Palo, every detail counts. And every detail comes from a true place.

History

Founded in 1992 by interior designer Pepe Deudero, the atelier began with a clear intention: to create handcrafted furniture pieces that combine tradition, quality, and emotional value. What started as bespoke designs for Miguel Fluxà’s hotels and a few friends’ homes evolved into a studio dedicated to the pursuit of beauty through craftsmanship.

Years later, Linnette Nardi, also an interior designer, joined as a creative partner, bringing new perspectives while preserving the artisanal spirit that defines PALO. Together, they lead a team of expert wood artisans—trained by Deudero himself—who continue to shape each piece with care and precision.

The roots of PALO trace back to Mallorca, where Pepe’s uncle, master carpenter Antonio Roca, taught him the art of woodworking in the early 1960s. That legacy lives on in every joint, every texture, and every grain of wood we select.

Based in the Dominican Republic, PALO’s atelier works with solid American woods from sustainable sources. Each piece is unique—crafted with traditional techniques and a contemporary vision that bridges the classic and the modern.
